Flattery!

“I once had a rose named after me and I was very flattered. But I was not pleased to read the description in the catalogue: no good in a bed, but fine up against a wall.”
- Eleanor Roosevelt

This quote made me laugh the most! But then I found another gem...

Take no repulse, whatever she doth say; For 'get you gone,' she doth not mean 'away.' Flatter and praise, commend, extol their graces; Though ne'er so black, say they have angels' faces. That man that hath a tongue, I say is no man, If with his tongue he cannot win a woman. - from "The Two Gentlemen of Verona"

:)... I think these quotes are kewl!!!!

On Pleasing!

It is happy for you that you possess the talent of flattering with delicacy. May I ask whether these pleasing attentions proceed from the impulse of the moment, or are they the result of previous study? - Jane Austen

:) Well, I dare all to repond to this comment!

Are we rehearsed, flattered or coerced into pleasing? How does one take the call?

Hmmmm.... think!

It is Tuesday!

Another 3 days to go for the weekend. It is a bad sign for your career when you start feeling bored on the second day of the week!

I have been asked to follow-up with members for some silly survey form they are to send in! and let me warn you that I have not made a single call! If I ever had a chance to meet Mr Bell I would surely like to point out that his invention is a pain in the wrong place. Not that it doesn't have its usefulness but calling up people for any silly thing is truly booooooooooorrrrrrriiiiiiiiinnnnnnnng! How can I be more emphatic about the word?

Hema is back to her Chicken Little character act!It is a relief after the Annual report madness - that was part of the Mad Hema Disease! Well the Hema Little is WELCOME anytime!

Again... was there a need for it at all?

I found this on the web....

" Even though we've changed and we're all finding our own place in the world, we all know that when the tears fall or the smile spreads across our face, we'll come to each other because no matter where this crazy world takes us, nothing will ever change so much to the point where we're not all still friends."

and then, I ask myself was there a need for it?

Have I done right or have I done 'unright'? If it were 'unright'... I ask pardon... if it were right then "who are you to cast stone on my glass house."

I repeat for all to ponder on "Was there a need for it at all?"

Hmmm... The road not taken!

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth.
...

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Frost captured the gist of my story in his poem. So I have nothing new to add the road I did not take!

:) Today has been interesting!

The executives of the first floor have been castigated today for coming in late and leaving late!

They have been told off for having 30-45 mins long coffee breaks and 21/2 hour long lunch breaks. :)

They have been told not to be on chat and basically stick to work! (Am secretly thankful that posting on blogs was not mentioned!)

I completly endorse the above sentiments.

But then... well... ahem... never mind!

To be or not to be is the question!

The question is simple in itself.
My decisions and thoughts all centre around this question To Be or Not To BE!
To be fair or ...
To be good or ...
To be shackled or ...
To be here or ...

Back with a Bang!

Baaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnng!
:) Hi guys... long time ... no see... no hear... life's been busily boring. The C******** person thinks it is because she has not been sermonising and evangelizing me to the true Christian way! Thank God for peaceful times...! But then religion has always created unrest in me!

But all is for good. Being bored is also good... as it helps me appreciate good times when I have it.

This morning started bad... coz my baby decided to have a crying fit just as I was leaving for work. That apart the morning has been smooth sailing so far.. did some silly pilly work and got my desktop cleared. Read some gossip on one of the websites... tried to read a newspaper. Well so far it has gone that way

What the rest of the day holds... I'll update. Until then it is Chao!
